Pages From The Manual On Dismantling God

This project is less about the pages having any literal meaning and more about the process of encountering a sense of inter-relationship. The process of viewing the pages is a sort of pilgrimage in which the viewer's mind is compelled to read the visual language in an intuitive manner. In turn, this encourages the mind to move in the direction of the unfolding present where the dichotomy of self and other begins to break down.

The title refers more directly to the breaking down of an anthropomorphic "God." For me, as an artist, this "breaking down" has been a long, subconscious journey influenced by, among other things, the process of meditation and a dozen visits to the Himalayas and Tibet. The pages are a re-exploration of personal, archetypal imagery created over a thirty-year period. The text is also a re-examination of literary influences from the ancient Vedas to the Unified Field Theory.
